Levels
of credentialing includes:
Head Start Credentialed
Professionals (HSCP) is designed for Head Start professional who are
responsible for collecting, reporting, managing and monitoring daily
compliance issues. Candidates enroll in the HSCP program who are new to
Head Start or have less than 5 years experience in content area. The HSCP program is designed as a valid and reliable measure of the
candidate's understanding of the federal, state and local regulations
for their content area. Candidates enrolled in this program acquire a
skill set of the best practices and procedural methods for implementing
regulations.
Head Start Credentialed Administrator (HSCA) is designed for Head
Start professionals who are responsible for implementing, managing and
monitoring regulations in a Head Start environment. Candidates enrolled
in this program typically have two or more years experience
administering Head Start systems. Due to the in-depth nature of the
program, candidates should be knowledgeable about federal requirements
such as Protocol, PIR and Head Start performance standards. The HSCA
program is designed as a valid and reliable measure of the candidates
ability to design, develop and implement content areas. Candidates will
acquire extensive knowledge of State regulations that directly impact a
program's ability to maintain compliance. Candidates will acquire a
skill set which consist of the best practices and procedural method for
implementing regulations and handling compliance during a federal
review.
Head Start Credentialed Trainer (HSCT) is designed for
professionals who are responsible for ensuring professional development
of staff. Candidates enrolled in this program have four years or more
experience administering systems. The HSCT program is designed to
identify leading trainers who can deliver superior training events,
conferences and seminars on content areas. Candidates enrolled in this
program will have a competitive edge in their career and will be a vital
resource in today's Head Start training community. In addition to the
