          Course Number: PM1025                        Credits: 3

This 2 day course provides the key knowledge and promotes the key skills related to understanding and identifying community needs in order to succeed in an increasingly complex, changing environment. The course stresses the need for Head Start administrative and managerial leadership to maintain a holistic, integrated approach by thinking about the entire process as well as the individual steps. The course focuses on program goals, objectives, strategies, area plans, and collaboration and partnership agreements, and how to use the strength and resources of Head Start team members-the governing body, the Policy Committee/Policy Council, program and agency staff, community partners, and alliances.  Students will review operations and program implementation for conformity and regulatory requirements
